DONATION TO THE SUNBEAMS PROGRAM

At the May 10th meeting of the Leduc Optimist Club, another donation was presented to Loretta Hannah from the Leduc County Early Childhood Resource Program for the Sunbeams project.

Sunbeams is a program for 4 to 7 year olds that fosters emotional healing among children grieving a loss from a life-altering crisis. Through a 6 week peer support plan of action the participants process their feelings, build self-esteem and learn positive coping tools to last a lifetime.

Such good work at an important stage in a child's development is applauded by our club.

We also thank Loretta and Evalon Maisonneuve for their assistance in our club's fundraising efforts which make donations such as this possible.
