Our Club Meeting and Donation Presentation at the Leduc & District Food Bank

On Thursday evening December 11th 2014, the Leduc Optimist Club held a regular meeting in the Leduc & District Food Bank. Executive Director Gert Reynar had graciously extended an invitation to hold it there and gain insight into the scope of the Food Bank workings.

Gert, Directors, staff and volunteers provide excellent and very commendable service to the area that the Food Bank covers. THANK YOU!

The occasion allowed our Club to make another $500.00 cash donation to the Food Bank which is part of the $1000.00 cash that our Club has designated to supply each year. The cash enables the Food Bank to purchase fresh food which augments the non-perishable food and supplies that are received from all sources and handed out to those in need.

Leduc Optimists meet, and are informed of Leduc Food Bank procedures. Optimist Ian photoed.

Another cash donation is presented by President Brian to Gert. Optimist Ian photoed.

This is the only Leduc Optimist Club meeting in December. The next meeting is on Jan. 08, 2015.
