Volunteer Time Provided at the annual Rodeo of Smiles

On the morning of Friday May 29, 2015 Leduc Optimist members Shayne and Robin were able to attend and assist at the Rodeo of Smiles in the Leduc Rec Centre.
It featured a number of simulated rodeo events; enabling special needs kids to participate and have fun in a Rodeo atmosphere.

Held in conjunction with the Leduc Black Gold Pro Rodeo which ran May 28 - May 31, 2015, the Rodeo of Smiles is a terrific annual event which our Club supports and applauds.

Congratulations to the winner and THANKS to all who purchased tickets and also to those who helped to sell them. The net revenue is used to fund our Optimist Club's Youth and Community Programs & Activities.

Another Donation to the Early Childhood Resource Program was Presented on May 28, 2015

At our Club meeting on Thursday May 28th, Loretta Hannah from the Leduc County Early Childhood Resource Program gave a talk on Positive Discipline for Everyday Parenting.
It was interesting and informative, as usual, and a donation of $250.00 was presented to help defray some of the costs incurred by that department in its commendable work for the community.
Our club is pleased to provide some annual support.

THANKS to Loretta and all other members associated with ECR.
